| 1972 - This is where I saw my first speedway race during the summer of 1972. I was hooked after the first heat race and have been a fan of ever since. Watching the riders race inside the famous cement walls at Cal Expo is still talked about today. I met the Rooney's and others there and I hope everyone gets to watch speedway somewhere sometime!
